When you think about your most valuable asset what is the first item that comes to mind? For most people, it may be their home or an investment account. I often suggest to people to think about their career as their most valuable asset.
Within my Investment Perspectives this quarter, I reference LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman’s book, The Start Up of You, which has a focus on investing in your career. I point out some actionable takeaways from Hoffman’s book that you can implement to invest in yourself and career.
Remember that some of your biggest life decisions also play a major role in your financial life. How you handle and invest in your career is certainly one of those decisions. Like wealth planning, assessing and evaluating your career is a lifelong process, not something you do once.
